Indoor Pool

*It is now FREE for Active Duty, Retirees, DOD civilians and eligible Family Members (anyone with an ID card or eligible to get one). Contractor and any other authorized users not listed above: $2 for 13 and up, $1 for 3-12yr, and FREE for 2 and under, for non-ID card holders it is $5
Fitness Classes & Special Programs (Indoor Pool)
- Senior Swim:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 10:30-11:30 a.m. For all spring chickens of 55 years and older- this activity has you in mind! You can enjoy the company of others while participating in a slower, gentle, self instructed work out. Cost is $2 for military and DoD ID card holders, and $5 for the general public. - Water Aerobics:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 9-10 a.m. & 5-6 p.m. Exercising in water supports your body by reducing stress on your weight-bearing joints, while still providing great calorie burning and muscle building benefits. Cost: $3 per visit or Splash Card for $30 (10 sessions) - Private Adult Swim Lessons:
Highly trained instructors of the pool can provide one-on-one swim lessons for adults. Lessons can be scheduled based on your availability and the pools schedule. Private instruction is ideal for the beginner who would like assistance with water orientation before registering with one of our programs; those traveling to the sunny south who want to brush up on their swimming skills; Soldiers who are going to schools that have a swim prerequisite; those who are having difficulty with a particular stoke or technique. Emphasis is placed on your needs. Sessions are six (30 minute) classes, for $60 at the indoor pool. This activity is based on reservation. - Pool Parties:
The Indoor pool offers private party services with prior reservation. Step out of the box and host your next party at a venue that is unexpected and guaranteed fun for everyone! - Swim Lessons for Children:

Intramural Sports
Get involved with intramural sports at Fort Carson. Stop by their central office located inside the Mountain Post Sports Complex (bldg. 1930)-across the road from the Special Events Center on Specker Avenue. Intramural Sports Office handles applications for All Army Sport Programs for all interested athletes. All Intramural Sports programs have a rolling enrollment. Enrollment is free and open to all DOD ID card holders(18 and older).

Equipment Checkout Center
Hours of Operation: Tue.-Fri.: 8a.m.- 6p.m. | Sat.: 8a.m. - 1:30p.m. | Closed Sun. Mon. & Federal holidays.
The FMWR Equipment Check out center has all your recreation equipment needs including:
- bicycles
- sports equipment (softball kits, soccer balls, basket balls, tennis rackets, etc.)
- entertainment
- party & event equipment (including dunk tanks, inflatable Jump castles and slides)
- camping
- hunting & fishing equipment
- all season equipment (grills, pig roasters, coolers, banquet tables & chairs)
- flat bed utility trailers
- pop-up A-frame campers
- bass type fishing boats
- pontoon boats & canoes
Daily, weekly and weekend rates are available for all rentals. The experienced staff will be glad to answer any questions you might have as well as demonstrate the proper use and care of the equipment.
- 61' Inflatable Obstacle Course includes a built in slide and jump castle as well as the obstacle course-it is great for either indoor or outdoor fun!
- Jousting Arena is 23'x23'x5' in size and it will be a hit at your next special events, birthday party or unit!
- Bouncy Castles- two new castles were added to the already extensive inventory of inflatable slides, arenas and castles.

Adventure Programs and Education (APE) is all about fun…that goes without saying. The goal is to teach the skills necessary to make good decisions for yourself, so you can enjoy the wild for a lifetime. Adventure programs are structured with the highest regard for quality of instruction and preservation of the environment while striving to stay number one in the jungle of customer service.
Adventure Programs & Education offers a broad range of trips and instructional courses for everyone. If you have your own group and would like to schedule a private trip, or a combination of the following courses you see, give the APE office a call. Customized trips are an option. Get out and explore fall, winter, spring and summer in a new way with Adventure Programs & Education.

Youth Sports, Fitness & Nutrition Program

The Fort Carson Youth Sports, Fitness and Nutrition Program is dedicated to providing professionally managed, positive programs featuring a wide range of opportunities. These programs are designed to meet the developmental, educational, leisure, recreational, physical and social needs of children ages three – 18.
This program also enhances the skills and education of athletes through a positive, healthy and fun environment. The Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition program offers a variety of programs in four core areas of team sports: individual sports, health, nutrition, and outreach programs. Comprehensive Soldier Fitness
The vision of the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness program is to create an Army of balanced, healthy, self-confident Soldiers, families and Army civilians whose resilience and total fitness enables them to thrive in an era of high operational tempo and persistent conflict.
